About Me
Hello and welcome. My name is Dawn and I am an integrative counsellor working with both individual and couple clients. I live in Cheshire and am happy to work with you in-person from an easily accessible, comfy counselling room in Warrington which is handy for parking and the train station. I also offer online therapy using Zoom or we can use the phone for sessions if that feels more comfortable. I enjoy working with individuals and couples.
In my earlier career, I worked in the public sector as an auditor, but have always been drawn to volunteering in ‘listening’ roles with the Samaritans, ChildLine and a local bereavement support charity. I decided to pursue my passion for helping others and my initial person-centred training was focussed on working with individuals in a local hospice and an adult carers’ charity. My interest in how we all live in an interconnected work and how our attitudes and behaviour impact on one another led me to complete some further training as a relationship counsellor.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and have professional accredited status with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I have completed some further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Brief Solution Focussed Therapy so I can offer my clients a broader range of therapy approaches. My work history spans counselling in private practice, charities, online therapy platforms and relationship agencies.I work with clients based in the UK and overseas.

- Level 5 Diploma Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CPCAB)
- Level 5 Relate Certificate in Relationship Counselling (CPCAB)
- Level 5 Diploma in Adult Trauma Counselling (QLS)
- Solutions Focused Therapy - Essentials (APT)
- ASIST Training (suicide interventions skills)
I work according to the NCPS’ Code of Ethics and am DBS checked for working with adults. I am also registered with the ICO.
